Expanding the boundaries of tunable white lighting, the Aputure STORM 400x LED Monolight is a compact yet formidable point-source workhorse engineered to handle demanding studio, film, and television productions. Built around Aputure’s revolutionary BLAIR chipset—utilizing a precise combination of Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, and Red emitters—the STORM 400x delivers unmatched brightness, exceptional color fidelity, and superior white-point tuning across an extended 2,500K to 10,000K CCT range.
With full green-magenta adjustment, this fixture ensures complete control over white balance and precise color matching with existing light sources on set. Yielding up to an impressive 64,600 Lux at 3.3 feet (5,600K) with its included 35° Hyper Reflector, the light maintains elite color rendering with CRI and TLCI ratings of 95 and SSI scores of 87 at 3,200K and 85 at 5,600K. Designed for all-weather set environments, the lamp head features IP65 dust and weather resistance, robust Bowens ProLock mounting for versatile modifier integration, stepless dimming down to 0.1%, and comprehensive control capabilities including Sidus Link/Link Pro app support, DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and LumenRadio CRMX. Powered via standard AC mains or two V-mount batteries on the dedicated controller, the STORM 400x delivers incredible full-spectrum performance in a highly mobile, compact form factor.
