The Used Lensbaby Pro Effects Kit for Canon EF is a creative lens system designed for photographers and filmmakers looking to introduce selective focus, tilt effects, controlled blur and distinctive optical character into their images. Designed for Canon EF-mount cameras, the kit combines the Lensbaby Composer Pro lens body with two interchangeable optics, macro converters and a dedicated system bag.
At the heart of the kit is the Lensbaby Composer Pro, featuring a metal swivel-ball design and refined manual focus mechanism for smooth tilt and focus control. The Composer Pro is supplied with the Sweet 35 Optic, providing a 35mm focal length and a central “sweet spot” of sharp focus surrounded by progressively softer areas.
The included Edge 80 Optic provides a different creative effect, producing a controllable slice of sharp focus across the frame when tilted, surrounded by soft blur. When used without tilt, it can also function as a conventional 80mm flat-field lens. Both optics feature 12-blade adjustable apertures, providing additional control over the appearance and size of the focused area.
The kit also includes 8mm and 16mm Macro Converters, which can be used individually or stacked together to create a 24mm extension for closer focusing. This adds further versatility for detail and close-up photography.

Lensbaby Composer Pro
The Composer Pro forms the core of the Lensbaby system, providing a tilting lens platform that allows photographers to deliberately position the area of sharp focus within the frame.
Its metal swivel-ball construction and refined focus mechanism provide smooth manual control over both tilt and focus. The Composer Pro is compatible with Lensbaby Optic Swap System optics, allowing different optical effects to be introduced without replacing the entire lens body.
With the included Sweet 35 Optic installed, the Composer Pro can create a distinctive selective-focus look that draws attention towards a chosen area of the image.
Sweet 35 Optic
The Sweet 35 Optic provides a 35mm focal length and is designed around Lensbaby’s signature selective-focus effect.
Rather than producing uniform sharpness across the frame, the optic creates a controllable sweet spot of focus, with surrounding areas becoming progressively softer. The 12-blade adjustable aperture allows the photographer to control the size and appearance of the focused area.
This makes the Sweet 35 particularly useful for portraits, street photography, creative stills and experimental video work where a conventional lens rendering is not desired.
Edge 80 Optic
The Edge 80 Optic provides an 80mm focal length and a flat-field design with a distinctive slice-of-focus effect.
By tilting the optic, photographers can position a narrow plane of sharp focus through the image while allowing areas above and below it to transition into soft blur. When pointed straight ahead, the Edge 80 can also be used as a conventional 80mm lens.
The Edge 80’s 12-blade adjustable aperture provides additional control over the depth and character of the effect.
Macro Converters
The kit includes 8mm and 16mm Macro Converters. These screw into the Lensbaby lens body and allow the optics to focus closer to the subject.
The two converters can be used individually or stacked together to create a 24mm macro extension, adding close-up capability to the creative lens system.
Lensbaby System Bag
The included Lensbaby System Bag provides dedicated storage for the Composer Pro, optics and accessories. It features adjustable internal elastic straps, additional compartments and a removable shoulder strap for transporting the system.
