This innovative technology, originally developed for Sony’s Alpha series, utilizes a gyroscopic sensor and control algorithm to effectively counteract camera shake, even for handheld shooting while walking. It seamlessly and continuously adjusts density from 0.6 (1/4) to 2.1 (1/128), allowing for precise exposure control without resorting to physical ND filters. This translates to quicker adjustments via the ND dial, simplified workflows, and the ability to maintain consistent depth of field by adjusting the filter density alongside the iris control. Operators can choose either continuous or stepped ND filter changes for maximum flexibility during filming. Additionally, the Auto ND function automatically adjusts the filter for optimal exposure, essentially turning the ND filter into an alternative Auto IRIS.
