Ultra-Wide Versatility in a Compact Full-Frame Zoom
The Sigma 20-60mm f/2.8-4 DG Contemporary Lens for L-Mount combines an ultra-wide 20mm perspective with a versatile 60mm standard focal length in an exceptionally compact and lightweight design. Built for full-frame mirrorless cameras, this 3x zoom delivers a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture at 20mm, impressive close-up capability and high-resolution optical performance, making it an adaptable choice for travel, landscapes, interiors, everyday photography, portraits and video creation.
20-60mm: From Ultra-Wide to Standard
The 20-60mm focal range provides a broad creative range without requiring multiple lenses. The 20mm ultra-wide perspective is ideal for expansive landscapes, architecture, interiors and environmental compositions, while the 60mm telephoto end provides a more natural perspective for portraits, details and everyday subjects.
With an angle of view ranging from 94.5° at 20mm to 39.6° at 60mm, the lens offers considerable flexibility for both stills and video.
Bright f/2.8 Aperture at 20mm
At its widest setting, the lens provides a maximum aperture of f/2.8, giving photographers additional light-gathering capability for indoor shooting, nightscapes and other low-light situations. The aperture also provides useful depth-of-field control at the wide end.
The maximum aperture gradually changes to f/4 at 60mm, while the minimum aperture ranges from f/22 to f/32.
High-Resolution Optical Design
Sigma employs a 15-element, 13-group optical construction incorporating three SLD elements and three aspherical elements. The optical design is engineered to suppress chromatic and other optical aberrations while maintaining high resolution and consistent image quality across the zoom range.
The optical configuration has also been designed with focus breathing suppression in mind, helping maintain a more consistent composition during focus transitions—an advantage for video creators.
L-Mount Full-Frame Compatibility
The Sigma 20-60mm f/2.8-4 DG Contemporary is designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras with the L-Mount, making it compatible with L-Mount systems from Sigma, Leica and Panasonic.
The lens is also available in Sony E-mount, but this listing is specifically for the L-Mount version.
