Description
Professional Monitoring and Camera Control in a Compact Design
The Portkeys LH5P III 5.7-Inch Touchscreen HDMI Monitor is a professional on-camera monitoring solution designed for filmmakers, cinematographers, camera operators and content creators who need a bright, accurate display with advanced monitoring tools and camera-control functionality. Combining a high-resolution touchscreen with a robust aluminium housing, it delivers a powerful set of production features in a compact form factor.
Its 5.7-inch display offers a 2160 × 1080 resolution and maximum brightness of 2,200 nits, making it suitable for monitoring in bright outdoor environments as well as controlled studio settings. The monitor features 10-bit colour processing, a 1400:1 contrast ratio and wide viewing angles, helping operators assess exposure, focus and colour while working on set.
The LH5P III is factory Calman-calibrated for colour accuracy, with a stated Delta E of ≤1.1 in Rec.709 and ≤2.5 in DCI-P3. Its reported colour coverage reaches 104% DCI-P3 by gamut area ratio, providing a broad colour range for evaluating footage and monitoring creative looks.
High-Brightness Display for Outdoor Production
With up to 2,200 nits of brightness, the LH5P III is designed to remain visible in demanding lighting conditions where conventional camera displays can be difficult to see. Its 5.7-inch touchscreen provides a clear view of the camera image, with a 2160 × 1080 resolution that offers additional vertical screen space compared with standard Full HD displays.
The display’s 10-bit hardware processing supports smoother tonal gradations and helps reduce visible colour banding. Combined with factory calibration, this makes the monitor useful for filmmakers who need dependable on-set image evaluation.
Professional Monitoring Tools and 3D LUT Support
The LH5P III includes a comprehensive selection of image-analysis tools to help with exposure, focus and composition. Waveform monitoring, histogram, zebra, focus peaking, focus assist and ARRI False Colour provide different ways to assess the image and make more informed exposure decisions.
Its 3D LUT monitoring and HDMI LUT output capabilities allow users to preview a creative look on the monitor and send the processed image to compatible downstream equipment. Monitoring tools can be positioned before or after the LUT, giving operators flexibility when assessing the original camera signal or the applied look.
Additional tools include anamorphic de-squeeze, image flip, check field, custom aspect ratios, screen markers and colour-temperature selection. The monitor also features Portkeys’ LogStops Exposure Tool, designed to help users assess exposure using camera-stop information.
Wired and Wireless Camera Control
Beyond displaying the camera feed, the LH5P III supports wired and wireless camera control for many compatible cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Blackmagic Design. Depending on the camera model and connection method, supported functions can include adjusting camera settings and controlling focus or recording functions.
For selected Sony cameras, wireless touch focus and touch focus tracking are available, allowing operators to select or track a focus point directly from the monitor. Compatibility and available functions vary by camera model, firmware and connection type, so check the supported-camera list before purchasing if a particular control feature is essential.
The LH5P III also supports Portkeys’ collaborative one-to-many control system, allowing a compatible setup to coordinate control across multiple connected Portkeys monitors and cameras.
HDMI Connectivity and Flexible Power
The monitor features one HDMI input and one HDMI output, supporting incoming video signals up to DCI 4K at 60p. HDMI output can be used to pass the image to compatible external equipment, with supported LUT output and monitoring options available through the monitor’s processing system.
A 3.5mm headphone output allows audio monitoring from the embedded HDMI audio signal. For power, the LH5P III incorporates a Sony NP-F/L-series battery plate and supports external power through USB-C Power Delivery. Its stated maximum power consumption is approximately 13W.
Four user-assignable function buttons provide quick access to frequently used tools, while the touchscreen interface and navigation controls make it practical to adjust settings during production.
Lightweight Aluminium Construction
Designed for use on camera rigs, cages and other mobile production setups, the LH5P III combines its compact 5.7-inch display with a durable aluminium housing. At approximately 235g, it is lightweight enough for many handheld and camera-mounted configurations without adding unnecessary bulk.
Whether used for documentary filming, commercial production, interviews, independent filmmaking or content creation, the Portkeys LH5P III provides a combination of high-brightness monitoring, colour tools, LUT workflows and camera control in a portable package.
