The iFootage Komodo K5S Fluid Head is an upgraded iteration of the award-winning K5 model, engineered to provide smoother, more precise camera movements for content creators and professionals. Constructed from high-strength aircraft-grade aluminum, this head features an improved hardware design that increases stability and durability compared to its predecessor. The K5S is specifically optimized for mirrorless and lightweight cinema camera setups, offering a high payload-to-weight ratio that makes it an ideal companion for both tripods and monopods in “run-and-gun” environments like weddings and events.
A standout enhancement in the “S” version is the increased 65mm flat base diameter (up from 60mm), which provides a larger bearing surface for more uniform force distribution and better stability on various support systems. It also features a redesigned quick-release system with wider compatibility, including support for DJI Ronin S1 gimbals and Manfrotto 500 series plates, allowing for seamless transitions between handheld, gimbal, and stationary shooting.
