The Freewell Genius Rig Cage for iPhone 17 Pro Max is a versatile mobile filmmaking solution designed for creators who want to unlock the full creative potential of Apple’s flagship smartphone. Combining a precision-engineered cage, transformable handles, extensive accessory mounting options, and wireless camera control, the Genius Rig provides a professional platform for content creators, filmmakers, livestreamers, and mobile journalists.
Built specifically for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the cage features Freewell’s innovative Snap Clamp mechanism, allowing for secure, tool-free installation in seconds. The precision-fit design protects the device while maintaining unrestricted access to buttons, ports, speakers, and the advanced camera system, ensuring a seamless shooting experience whether you’re creating cinematic video, social media content, or professional commercial productions.
Expandable Design for Professional Workflows
At the heart of the Genius Rig is an extensive ecosystem of mounting options. Featuring eleven 1/4″-20 threaded mounting points, six quick-connect ports, and four integrated cold shoe mounts, the cage allows creators to build fully customized mobile production setups. Easily attach microphones, LED lights, wireless receivers, monitors, power banks, and other essential accessories to suit any production environment.
The rear of the cage also supports Freewell’s Magnetic Filter System and optional F-Series lenses, enabling creators to expand the optical capabilities of the iPhone camera system. From ND filters for cinematic shutter control to specialty lenses for creative perspectives, the Genius Rig transforms the smartphone into a powerful filmmaking tool.
Transformable Handles for Maximum Flexibility
Included with the system are two innovative multifunction handles designed to adapt to different shooting scenarios. The TriGenius Handle provides a comfortable ergonomic grip for handheld operation and quickly unfolds into a compact tabletop tripod with 360° rotation for stable recording, interviews, timelapses, and livestreams.
The MonoGenius Handle offers additional versatility by functioning as a traditional side handle, monopod extension, or selfie stick. Extending up to 10.3 inches, it provides greater reach for vlogging, travel content, group shots, and dynamic camera angles.
Wireless Camera Control
The included GeniusRemote Bluetooth controller streamlines mobile production by providing convenient wireless camera operation. The removable remote can be mounted directly onto either handle or used independently, allowing users to start and stop recordings from distances of up to 33 feet (10m). This functionality is particularly useful for solo creators, tripod-based shooting, and remote content capture.
Built for Modern Content Creators
Whether you’re shooting YouTube videos, social media campaigns, documentaries, interviews, travel content, or commercial productions, the Genius Rig Cage provides a professional foundation that expands the capabilities of the iPhone 17 Pro Max while maintaining a compact and portable form factor.
