The DZOFilm Vespid2 T1.9 Prime 6-Lens Kit (ARRI PL mount, feet focus scale) is a premium cine prime set tailored for full-frame and VistaVision cinema workflows. Comprising 18 mm, 24 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm, and 105 mm lenses, this kit offers seamless coverage across wide to short telephoto focal lengths with a unified design and consistent image rendering.
Every lens in the Vespid2 lineup features a constant T1.9 maximum aperture, delivering greater light-gathering capability and creative control in low-light scenes or for shallow depth-of-field.
The optical design incorporates new self-developed aspherical elements, advanced nano multi-layer coatings, and precision polishing to suppress flare, ghosting, and chromatic aberrations. This results in crisp detail, smooth contrast, and accurate skin tones across all focal lengths.
Color matching across the set is tightly controlled, so switching lenses during a shoot is seamless. The shared 80 mm front diameter, consistent gear layout (0.8 MOD), and uniform form factor further improve operational efficiency under demanding production conditions.
The Vespid2 series supports Cooke /i metadata transmission via a 5-pin LEMO interface, allowing compatible cinema systems to record focal length, aperture, and distance data directly into clip metadata. This enhances VFX workflows, lens traceability, and post-production accuracy.
Focus rotation spans 300°, giving precise manual focus control ideal for follow focus systems and narrative cinema. The iris is designed with smooth, linear steps from T1.9 to T22, offering creative flexibility across lighting conditions.
The lenses also integrate floating optical elements to reduce aberration at close focus distances, with maximum magnification ratios varying by focal length (e.g. 1:5.5 to 1:8). This makes them effective for both cinematic wide shots and more intimate close-up cinematography.
Despite being high-performance cine primes, the Vespid2 lenses remain relatively compact and lightweight—each lens weighs around 800 g—making them suitable for handheld rigs, gimbals, and drone setups without overly burdening your stabilization system.
