Datacolor LightColor Meter
The Datacolor LightColor Meter is a wireless, Bluetooth-enabled light and color meter designed to give photographers, videographers, and cinematographers precise, real-time exposure and color temperature data on set or in the studio. Measuring both illuminance and color characteristics (including correlated color temperature and DUV), this advanced metering tool streams readings directly to your smartphone via the free Datacolor app, enabling you to fine-tune lighting and exposure without constantly returning to your camera position.
Portable & Wireless Monitoring:
Connects via Bluetooth LE to iOS and Android devices for continuous, real-time light and color data — perfect for dynamic lighting conditions, outdoor shoots, or multi-fixture setups.
Multi-Mode Light Measurement:
Provides incident measurements for ambient, continuous, flash, and strobe lighting, giving accurate lux readings to help set exposure and balance multiple light sources.
Color & Exposure Tools:
Measures correlating color temperature from 1600 K to 20000K and DUV (green/magenta shift) so you can evaluate and match lighting conditions precisely; includes built-in gel filter libraries from Profoto®, LEE®, and Rosco® for quick color correction choice.
Cine & Video-Friendly Features:
Supports photo, video, and cine exposure modes as well as settings for frame rate, shutter angle/speed, and ND filter compensation — useful for hybrid workflows and motion picture setups.
Sync & Remote Workflow:
Monitor multiple LightColor Meters simultaneously from one device for comprehensive set lighting evaluation and improved workflow efficiency.
Compact & On-Set Ready:
Lightweight and comes with magnetic and ¼″-20 mounts for hands-free operation; operates on two AAA batteries and includes a carry case — perfect for quick setups and location work.
The Datacolor LightColor Meter helps remove guesswork from exposure and lighting decisions by delivering accurate illuminance and color temperature data wirelessly to your smartphone — ideal for creators looking to achieve consistent, true-to-life color and exposure results.
