The battery takes about 405 minutes to charge via the camcorder and about 260 minutes when using an optional CG-800D battery charger. Charging time will vary depending on the charge state of the battery when you begin charging and the temperature. The battery should be charged at temperatures between 50 to 86°F, and it will not charge if the ambient or the battery pack’s temperature is either colder than 32°F or higher than 104°F.
