Description
Broncolor Scope D50 Portable Surface Visualization System
The Broncolor Scope D50 is a sophisticated, portable Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) dome that captures and digitally reconstructs surface textures of objects via 48 high-quality LED illuminations. By capturing 48 sequential images under varying light angles, it creates an interactive, surface model viewable in any modern browser or mobile device. Designed for on-site documentation, heritage preservation, forensic analysis or material study, the Scope D50 delivers unmatched detail and color fidelity.
Key Features:
- 48 x white LEDs at 5000 K ± 75 K output 1500 lm, CRI > 90 for accurate color rendering.
- Integrated WiFi/Bluetooth with built-in Truvis Authentica surface imaging software and touch display control.
- Portable system weighing ~22 lb (10 kg), powered by AC (85–260 VAC), with option for external battery to support field use.
- Compact footprint at approximately 59 × 50 × 48 cm.
- Includes adjustable feet, camera mount, sync cable and protective transport case.
Benefits:
- Captures true-to-life shape, color, and texture of surfaces for interactive analysis.
- Mobile and versatile setup supports heritage documentation and scientific study both in the lab and on-site.
- Fast automated capture sequence (~1 minute for full 48-light cycle) reduces workflow time.
- High-fidelity RTI output accessible in any web environment for remote review or archival quality reference.
Applications:
- Cultural Heritage & Archiving: Document artifacts, artworks, and archaeological finds with high precision, reproducibility and surface analysis.
- Forensic & Scientific Imaging: Capture tool marks, footprints, impressions, and other evidence surfaces for detailed investigation and analysis.
- Material Science & Research: Study textures, coatings, and surface treatments with interactive lighting interrogation.
- Product Cataloging & Online Visualization: Create digital 3D surface models of objects to include in interactive web or educational platforms.
